Castle Syburg

In the Franconian Lake District in northern bavaria, Germany, surrounded by wonderful flora and fauna, the water castle Syburg is situated in a paradise of forests and meadows. In the natural marshy landscape, countless species of animals enjoy ideal living conditions. Syburg Castle was built in the 11th century and is one of the oldest aristocratic estates of Franconian in Bavaria. As a "particularly remarkable cultural monument", Prince Ernst August zur Lippe described Syburg. The main building is the showpiece of the complex. The fountain adorns the courtyard. The stables and the side buildings are in need of restauration. The castle's park is surrounded by a wall. The beautiful rococo-pavilion and orangery (a historic representative garden for citrus plants) adorn the extensive garden.
